Twitter client supports holo theme and multiple twitter accounts but no push notifications.
Carbon, a Twitter client
that was revealed for Android last year to much acclaim, has finally
been launched on the Google Play store for Android handsets. Carbon's
developer, dots and lines, had earlier planned to launch the app in July
2012 but had to postpone for extraneous reasons. Carbon was initially
launched for HP's Web OS and later for Windows Phone. However, Carbon's
developers soon announced that they would want to move the app
exclusively to Android.
The selling point of Carbon is its slick
UI that adopts Android's own Holo-theme. The app also uses plenty of
subtle animations and supports multiple Twitter accounts. However, one
big downside the app, in its current avatar, is that it doesn't support
push notifications and instead checks Twitter for updates every fifteen
minutes. The client is also only available for Android phones right now
and not for tablets.
The Carbon for Twitter app can be downloaded for free from Google's Play store (find it here) and requires 7.3MB of free space. It will also only work on phones with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and later.
