The HTC One X finally has an elder sibling, the HTC One X+. Not too creative on the naming scheme, the One X+ does however seem to be packing in some extra features that would set it apart from its siblings.
The first, and possibly the most lucrative, is that the HTC One X+
will ship with the Jelly Bean right out-of-the-box. The other lucrative
features include an 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 along with a front
facing 1.6MP camera that does video at 720p@30fps.
The innards of the One X+ are just as impressive of the One X,
harnessing the power of an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.7GHz
with the companionship of 1GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of memory
onboard, which is not expandable. The One X+ also includes a bigger
2,100 mAh battery, which probably justifies the weight going up from 130
grams to 135 grams. HTC has also updated their Sense UI to Sense UI
v4+. What exactly are the changes in the skin, we’re not sure of, but we
can only hope that it adds to the Jelly Bean experience rather than
taking away from it.
Last but not the least, the HTC One X+
have onboard Beats Audio, a processing technology (and the brand name)
that has become a staple across HTC’s newer phones. So far, HTC
has only announced the phone, given the number of leaks in the last few
weeks, but the pricing is still a mystery. Europe will be seeing the
new flagship from HTC hit the streets sometime later this month, but
Indian availability is not yet known.
