The  (IET) Institution of  Engineering and

Technology, UK, world’s one  of  the  oldest & 

largest Technical Society, s a non-profit making

professional body.

The IET was formed by the Institution of

Electrical Engineers  (IEE) and the Institution of

Incorporated  Engineers (IIE) and now has more

than150,000 members worldwide. 

  It is the largest

professional engineering society in Europe &the

2nd  largest  of its type in  the world. It is aleading

authority,through its members,in the area of ECE,

EEE,CSE ,IT & Mech Engg.Thevision of the IET

is  world - wide prosperity  of  mankind  through

technical innovation and exchange of knowledge,

which  needs  to  be  translated  in  to  practices

through innovative &  emerging  ideas involving

technologists, academicians,consultants, managers

 etc.

 The IET-UK Chennai Network was formed

 in early 1940’s from the erstwhile Indian Branch

of the IET.The Chennai Network is the largest

branch of The IET-UK in India & is distinguished 

by its extensive technical programs.In realizing the

vision of the society, the Chennai Network

organizes  technical workshops, seminars,

conferences etc. from  time to  time  to  share  the

experience and  expertise of professionals around

the globe in the development of energy sector &

country as a whole. The Younger Member Section

of Chennai Network regularly organizes workshop,

conference, awareness camp, awards, medals,

technical events, technical news letter etc...for its

student members.

We invite your institution to join with us

for active participation in events.It is required that

minimum of 50 student members to open student

chapter in your institution . We look forward for
