Apple iCloud Beta Now Launches on Web, Additional Storage Pricing Details

Apple iCloud Beta Now Launches on Web, Additional Storage Pricing Details

Apple’s official iCloud.com website is now live for developers as part of a new beta phase of the service. The site is a Beta and features links to Contacts, Calendar, Find My iPhone, an iWork placeholder page and Web Mail Client. According to Apple, Additional storage plans are available as: 10GB will cost $20 per year; 20GB will cost $40 per year; and 50GB will cost $100 per year.

The entire layout is very similar to iOS and the iPad design of apps. Mail, Contacts, and Calendar look identical on the iPad. iWork allows you to access your documents in the cloud for editing and manipulating that have been created on your iOS device. You also have the Find my iPhone feature built in, allowing you to find your lost or stolen device anywhere that has internet access.

Of note, your iCloud Photo Stream, iOS apps, music, and TV shows you buy from iTunes/the App Store do not count against your 5GB of free storage.

iCloud was introduced at WWDC and is expected to launch this fall.
