Rumoured Facebook phone from HTC could sport mid-range specs, have dedicated Facebook button.
The blog, Android Guys, reports that the
HTC Myst will be run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and will be powered
by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, an Adreno 305 GPU and
1GB of RAM. The Myst will also offer 16GB of internal storage and will
feature a 4.3-in 720p HD display. The Myst will have both a front camera
and a 5MP rear camera, and will support all modern connectivity
standards including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The handset could also feature a
dedicated Facebook button that immediately brings up the app.
This isn't the first time that HTC has introduced a phone with a focus on Facebook. In early 2011, HTC launched the ChaCha, an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) handset with a QWERTY keypad and a dedicated Facebook button. Unfortunately, the ChaCha received middling reviews and didn't exactly set the market on fire. Hopefully, the Myst will be a more successful partnership between HTC and Facebook.
