Other rumoured devices from Asus' stable include Windows Phone tablet/phone hybrid and 7-inch phablet.
After launching the tablet/phone hybrid in the Padfone 2
to generally positive reception, Asus may already be working on a third
iteration of the device. Sources close to DigiTimes revealed that Asus
has already started work on the successor to the Padfone 2, and will
showcase it in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
DigiTimes also points out that supply chain vendors have revealed that
Asus has sold almost a million units of the Padfone 2 globally.
Furthermore, Asus could also be planning a 7-inch phablet named the “Fonepad K004,” that will run Android but will be powered by an Intel processor, specifically the upcoming Intel Atom Z2420, also known as “Lexington.” Other noteworthy specs of the Fonepad, as noticed by Android Authority, include an IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
